My attitude to study

Why do people attend colleges or universities? There are different answers to this question.

I believe that the three most common reasons are main points. First of all, preparing for career is the crucial one. Career preparation is becoming more and more important for young people. For many, this is the primary reason to go to college. They know that job market is competitive.
Also students go to colleges to have new experiences. This often means having the opportunity to meet people different from those in their hometowns.
Besides looking for self-knowledge, people also attend university/ college to expand their knowledge on subjects that they find interesting. For many, this will be their last chance for a long time to learn about themselves and the world they live in.
All in all, my attitude to study is not only career, but also preparing for better futures.

Entry 3: What are some of the benefits and potential dangers of the Internet, particularly to children?

Nowadays, it is hard to imagine our normal life without using the Internet.  One may object that not only adults use it actively, but children too.

Without reservation everyone can see the Internets’ benefits to children. E-books is definitely very good example of it.  To take another example from my own country, children can improve their foreign language skills, while communicating with native speakers. Moreover, they can communicate with their teachers, and can use it to research school reports.

On the contrary, there can be seen so many potentially dangers compared to its advantages. As the first advantage of using the Global system is Cyber bullying. That is social network sites, chat rooms, and especially Online GAMES. It extremely shocks me that how adult people can stop themselves from using social sites, and so how children can find a correct balance while using social sites or chat rooms. As I have noted, Online Games, in these days, take a great amount of kids’ time, and for this reason they don’t spend enough time for their education.

In order to protect children from ID theft (stolen passwords, addresses, social security numbers, credit numbers, and other financial information) there was created a federal law, the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), it is designed to keep anyone from obtaining a child’s personal information without a parent knowing about it and agreeing to it first.

As I have shown, it is important to be aware of what they children see and hear on the Internet, who they meet, and what they share about themselves online. In a nutshell, adults should keep a close eye on kids’ Internet activities.

Once upon a time…

There was once a Prince who wished to marry a real kind girl; but the king wanted him to marry a Princess. The king was so strict, that prince extremely frightened of him. The king gave him a month to find such kind of lady. Prince travelled all over the world in hopes of finding such a lady who was kind and a princess; but there was always something wrong.

At last he returned to his palace. He was so upset; even he didn’t know what to say about it to his father. With a bad mood he went outside, somehow he came near to the river. There he saw one girl, who was really beautiful with her long black hair. She was singing a magic song. Everything there was listening to it. Butterflies were fluttering; lambs were romping as a note of song.

Prince was bewitched by her beauty. He came near to her and they stared each other. They fell madly in love.

So prince made a habit to come and see her every day. They spent their time together perfectly. But prince never said about his love to the king. One time, the king was aware that his son meets with a girl who was poor. He prohibited the prince to go out and married him to a princess. From this time he started forgetting about his beloved.

The girl strongly loved the prince. So she waited for him near the river every day. She cried so long, she never stopped waiting. But he didn’t come.

After a long period of time the girl transformed into a tree, while the Prince was living with her Princess. The tree was really beautiful which has thin and long branches that hang down. It was a willow. If you go near to the river, it still sounds its unhappy song…

Every day in our life we experience and learn something that is new for us. Sometimes everything seems wrong; sometimes we experience an intense and overpowering feeling of delight. Yet there are such kinds of days which we never forget. The dreadful story which I am going to write now is really hard for me to remember…

When you lose somebody who is close to you, life becomes difficult; even you do not want to live anymore. The same situation happened with me about four years ago when I lost my friend. At school, from teacher’s point of view, my class was awful, cause of our behavior. Honestly, most of us were so noisy and lots of boys were not afraid of anything. So one day we were made to clean a place near to a railway by our school director. The place was rut and there was electrical house. After an hour the boys were tired and bored, then they started playing football there. Suddenly, the ball fell to that electrical house. While taking it my friend touched the electrical wires and he terribly cried. All were shocked… It was awful; when I remember this hard-luck story I spontaneously hear his crying again. Therefore, our teacher called to the ambulance but unfortunately, they couldn’t save him. Doctors said that 80 per cent of his body was burned.

After this we were so miserable over a long period of time. Almost all of us changed our attitude to life. I don’t want to judge who is guilty for it, no, the most important thing is another. I just would like to say that people should appreciate his life not only for himself, but for relatives and for lovely friends too.

Touch Screen Technology - So laid back, it's revolutionary...



Nowadays, everybody wants to be modern, so they want to use the latest technology. My belief is that using the latest touch technology is not only for fashion, but for comfort too. Young people prefer to use an electronical visual display, which refers to touching the display of the device with a finger or hand. We can use it in devices such as all-in-one computers, tablet computers, and smartphones’.

I see its comfort with its some attributes. First, it reacts directly with what is displayed, rather than indirectly such as a mouse or touchpad. Secondly, you don’t need any extra devices. Thirdly, it attracts people with luxury design.

It is said that touch screen is harmful for our health (fingers). Yet, it is not absolutely true, cause of its new development TapSense can be used not only with fingers but also with fingernails.

So at the end of my post I would like to say that with just in a touch you can do everything, such as entertainment, photos and videos, communication (facebook, twitter) and get new information.

Entry 1: My First Impression And Expectations

      Dear my reader,

I would like to begin my post from pointing out that it is interesting to study at IELTE... While creating this blog I discovered sth lets say a new wonderfull world...

One year ago I was thinking about where to enter. Therefore, my English teacher suggested me UWSLU, so thank to God I could enter there… while studying at IELTE I understood that we can improve all our English skills. Furthermore, besides studying you can feel nostalgia….

Indeed, each student has their own expectations from IELTE. For instance, my main aim is to continue my study in MD. The most important thing is that I want to be an independent and self-confident person.

At the end of mp post I love to thank all our English teachers…
